Testimonies

The weekend “Christian Finances” was very timely. Although I thought I had a good understanding of God’s word as it pertains to finances, Mr. Hook skillfully walked us through scripture and caused us to dig deep to answer tough questions concerning how we relate our money to our relationship with God.

This lesson gave the apprentices opportunity to learn about sowing and reaping and God’s view of debt. I pray that they realize how fortunate they are and learn their lessons early in life. I treasure my opportunity to share in these classes. The fellowship with the staff and apprentices feeds me more than they realize. I encourage everyone to come and be fed. ~ a Guest

The Financial seminar made me aware of the responsibility that the Lord gives to me as a steward of His resources. With over 2000 passages in the Bible that are related to finances, Jim Hooks was able to share many of the promises in Scripture for God’s blessings if I handle His money and possessions the way He calls me to.

I saw again through the seminar how crucial tithing is; if I am not tithing, I am robbing God according to Malachi 3:10. It is my responsibility to give unto the Lord cheerfully and to freely sow seeds for the future harvest that God promises me.

I realized that in my life I have more of a love for money than God, and that is a sin. God has removed that idol from my life and now I serve Him more and have given my life to serve Jesus Christ. I appreciate Jim Hook’s teaching that as a Christian I need to step up to the plate and take responsibility for the things and promises God has given me. In the middle of His sovereignty, much is required of me. Thank you Jim for your time and for the teaching of God’s word. ~ an Apprentice
